Where can I see the answers to the Custom Participant Questions I asked for from participants?

Collecting Custom Information from Participants

SignUp automatically collects the name, email address and phone number of each Participant. Organizers may ask Custom Questions for Participants to answer when they sign up. These can be anything: t-shirt size, emergency contact, child's name, certifications, birthday, etc. Learn how to set up Custom Questions (form fields) in your SignUp's Details tab, here. 

Accessing Participant Information

Once Participants have signed up, there are several ways to access answers to Custom Participant Questions, depending on your goals:

1. Access information from one Participant for a single SignUp

2. Access information from multiple Participants for a single SignUp

3. Access information from multiple Participants across multiple SignUps or across a Campus or Organization Plan.

 

1. Access information from one Participant for a single SignUp

Open the Participant tab of your SignUp's Organizer view. Click the Participant's name to view their responses to all questions. You may edit their answers or delete their assignment here as well.

2. Access information from multiple Participants for a single SignUp

Open the Reports tab of your SignUp's Organizer view; the highlighted reports below will include answers to Custom Participant questions. Additionally both the Export Report and Interactive Reports can be sorted and tabulated in a spreadsheet program (such as Excel).

3. Access information from multiple Participants across multiple SignUps or across a Campus or Organization Plan.

Premium Max,  Campus and Organization Plan members may access reports across multiple SignUps in the Premium Reporting screen under the My Tools tab at the top of the site. The All Fields Export and Participant Details & Hours reports include answers to Custom Participant Questions.

Important Notes

  • Each Participant will answer your Custom Questions ONCE PER SIGNUP, not once per assignment spot.
  • If Participants are signing up family or team members, please enable the Sign Up Others feature so information can be collected and reported by each Participant attending. 
  • If a Custom Participant Question is removed from one SignUp, but left on the master list of all Custom Participant Questions (in the Details tab of your SignUp's Organizer view) , it will NOT be deleted from reports IF Participants have previously answered the question.
  • Deleting a Custom Participant Question from the master list of all Custom Participant Questions (in the Details tab of your SignUp's Organizer view) will delete it EVERYWHERE on all your SignUp reports if no one has yet answered the question.
